Fond memories are really all that's left, in most internet user's minds, of the once-successful content aggregator Digg.com. The past few months have looked pretty grim for this record-breaking start-up turned past-its-prime internet staple. A steady decline in traffic over the past few years was bad enough, but when most of its engineers left for Social Code, it became clear that Digg hit rock-bottom. The company sold for only $500,000 -- a sad reminder of how the internet gods giveth (Digg famously roped-in more than $50 million in funding) but just as easily taketh away.
