Honda's presented the outlines for its "Earth Dreams Technology" today. The company plans to achieve the top fuel efficiency in the industry for all of its vehicles within the next three years. Honda wishes to incorporate the latest advances in environmental technologies while focusing on creating an enjoyable driving experience. Improvements in efficiency will be made to diesel, internal combustion and hybrid engines; the goal is to reduce carbon dioxide emission levels 30% from 2000 levels by 2020. Honda will begin implementing these advancements after the Tokyo Motor Show as they plan to release their first mini-vehicle, the N BOX, to the public. Improvements to existing production models will begin next year.
