Lenovo Continues the Shopping Spree

Lenovo announced last week that it has purchased a mobile technology portfolio of over 3,800 patent families, including standard essential patents for 3G and LTE technologies, from Tokyo based NEC Corporation. This deal comes on the heels of the PC maker's $2.91B acquisition of Google's Motorola Mobility handset business and a purchase of 21 patent families owned by Unwired Planet for $100M.
