Textron signs memorandum of understanding with EODC for Tactical Armoured Patrol Vehicle (TAPV)

Textron Systems Canada Inc., a Textron Inc. company, today announced that it has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Engineering Office Deisenroth Canada (EODC) of Ottawa, Ontario for possible work on the Textron Tactical Armoured Patrol Vehicle (TAPV) for the Canadian Forces. Textron has submitted a proposal to supply 500 vehicles to the Canadian Army, with an option for up to 100 additional TAPVs, all to be outfitted with add-on armour components from EODC. The Textron TAPV would be equipped with EODC's Advanced Modular Armour Protection (AMAP), the newest ballistic protection technology to enhance survivability. Manufacturing of the vehicle armor and supporting components would take place at EODC's facility in Ottawa, Ontario. This MoU between the two companies could have a positive effect on the local community by creating or maintaining jobs in support of the contract.
