There are many differences between health care in Canada and the United States. Canada has a universal system and spends about sixty percent of what the US spends per person on health care. There are also far fewer specialists and more selective use of specialized technologies. A new study looked at higher and lower spending hospitals in Ontario to see whether there was a difference in patient outcomes.
