VIDEO - Researchers discover important particle for supercomputing

Majorana particles, particles that are their own antiparticles, were predicted to exist by Ettore Majorana in 1937. Recently, researchers at the Kavli Institute of Nanoscience in the Netherlands were able to demonstrate the existence of this particle for the first time, which could have important consequences for quantum supercomputing.
