The recent Xbox release at E3 took everyone by surprise. Most expected that it would simply be an Apple Airplay clone, but instead found that it could be much more. SmartGlass, to be specific, is software that allows your mobile devices (including iOs- and Android-based devices) to interact with your Xbox and your television. According to reports, the system actually seems to integrate rather nicely, and may offer the sort of collective internet/media/gaming experience we've been fantasizing about for years. I still think I would be disappointed with my first spoken command ("Xbox, make me a sandwich."), so there may still be work to do.
