Ann Conkle Do you mean that it won't be a factory feature now, but could be if the regulations are changed? I assume they would eventually change them to allow for safer technology.

Daniel Porter Current regulations say all production cars need to have a flat mirror on the driver's side, and the release seems to indicate that's unlikely to change. Honestly, I expect to see comprehensive all-around camera systems for visibility before I see the DMV do something sensible like change their regulations.
