Biography Information
Dr. Mehrdad Fatourechi was born in Tehran, Iran in 1976. He obtained his M.Sc. from the University of Tehran in 2001 (Summa Cum Laude) and his Ph.D. from
the University of British Columbia in 2008.
He is currently a research associate
in the department of the Electrical and Computer Engineering at the University
of British Columbia, a Scientific Adviser to BroadbandTV Corp (a multimedia high-tech company based in Vancouver, Canada) and IEEE Signal Processing Chapter Chair in Vancouver.
His research interests include image and video processing, pattern recognition, machine learning, statistical signal processing and digital signal processing.
