The Patexia Campus Ambassador

As a bridge between industry-driven problems and university-based solutions, we need to work with the very best in order to exceed the expectations of clients, such as NASA. The Patexia campus ambassador program is built around enthusiastic, well-connected undergraduate and graduate engineering students who can not only help us solve technical problems, but can share their experience with classmates, friends, and professors to help expand our reach. Campus ambassadors will regularly meet and train with the Patexia team and be given given the opportunity to directly connect with important industry contacts whenever possible.

Questions about Getting Started?

What is the Patexia Ambassador Program? Is this an internship?

The Patexia Ambassador Program is different from a traditional internship or job. It is an opportunity for you to build your professional skills while spreading the word about Patexia. There are no set hours, and you can work on as many projects as you want in your free time.

What are the eligibility requirements?

Patexia Ambassadors must be enrolled and in good standing with their assigned university. Ambassadors can be undergraduate or graduate students from any department, although engineering is preferred. International students on F1 visas are welcome to participate.

Are you going to teach me what to do?

Of course! We have regular webinars explaining the program to our new ambassadors and we also have an information packet to help you on your way. If you have any questions throughout the process, don’t hesitate to contact us.

Can I meet the Patexia Team?

Yes, we would love to meet you! Our office is in Santa Monica, so if you are ever in the area we would be happy to show you around and get a cup of coffee. We also visit the campuses of many of the Southern California universities and will keep you posted about opportunities to meet up with us on campus..

Questions about The Job?

What are the responsibilities of a Patexia Ambassador?

A Patexia Ambassador is our on-campus company presence and, as such, you will be responsible for enhancing our brand and reputation. Your primary responsibility will be recruiting technical problem solvers to join our community and participate in crowdsourced innovation challenges. Successful recruiting methods include talking to classmates, professors, and administrators, presenting to student organizations, and hanging project-oriented flyers around campus. We will notify you every time we have a new project that you could help with, it is then up to you whether you want to do outreach for that project and how much.

What are the benefits of being a Patexia Ambassador?

Patexia Ambassadors are given a unique opportunity to work with and learn from our Santa Monica-based team. Ambassadors will enjoy structured industry networking opportunities, resume-boosting recommendations, and on-campus social/training events. Successful Ambassadors may be issued Patexia business cards and be featured on the Patexia platform.
