Amazon hopes to dominate digital content

Online retailer and content provider Amazon has been making moves to expand their content beyond the ebook market, in which they are a dominant player. Sensibly, this push involves getting on as many devices as possible as it becomes increasingly apparent that mobile is where much of the world's population looks to consume media. Amazon is going to have a tough time against the already-established music and movie providers iTunes and Netflix, but there may be some value in a unified content solution -- if it takes hold.
