Banks be warned: infringement suits on the way

The Financial Times reports that IV and other patent assertion entities are taking aim at America's big banks. Finance patents too, like business method and software patents, promise to provide ample fodder for the enterprising NPE with banks in its sights.

Will their deep pockets and strong desire to stay out of the public eye, will banks end up end up as the next major source of income for the patent monetization industry? Or have the trolls found an opponent with enough financial, legal, and political resources to given them a run for the money?
