Cynar Plc awards Rockwell Automation $11 million contract to build new plastic-to-fuel conversion plant

Cynar Plc, a technology company in the waste-to-energy market, has awarded an $11 million contract to Rockwell Automation to design and build a new end-of-life, plastic-to-fuel conversion plant in Bristol, U.K., for SITA UK Ltd., a Cynar customer and partner in the development. Although Cynar has already developed a technology that converts end-of-life plastics into fuel, the company’s president believes Rockwell will strengthen their technology by providing complete design, engineering life-cycle maintenance and local support. Their overall hope is to have a process technology solution that will enable them to globally deploy their technology in a quick and efficient manner. This contract award will allow Rockwell to enter the design and build phase of the project, as over the past two years the team has worked at developing the engineering, modularization and process improvements of Cynar’s waste end-of-life, plastic-to-fuel conversion plant.
