DENSO and Intel join to develop technology for In-vehicle information and communication systems

DENSO Corporation signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Intel Corporation to collaborate on in-vehicle information and communication systems. The goal of the joint project is to develop a platform to provide drivers information about their vehicles and to seamlessly connect to information and content from mobile devices like smartphones and tablets. In addition to the main navigation functions of conventional systems, next-generation in-vehicle information and communication systems will allow the driver and other occupants to freely access information from their vehicle and a range of personal devices when needed, display it on their system and update their system applications via network communications. DENSO will continue to work with various IT companies and semiconductor manufacturers, including Intel, home appliance makers and other companies to develop technologies and platforms for next-generation in-vehicle information and communication systems.
