Facebook Buys Oculus VR for $2B

Facebook announced on Tuesday that it is buying virtual reality startup Oculus VR for $2B ($400M in cash and 21.3M shares of Facebook stock). In a statement Mark Zuckerberg said "...Oculus has the chance to create the most social platform ever, and change the way we work, play, and communicate." This latest acquisition comes as the dust from a recent $19B purchase of Whatsapp is still settling over Silicon Valley.
