Google I/O and the Nexus 7: playground open.

There's plenty of news streaming in from the Google I/O conference, happening today in San Francisco. The keynote this morning laid it all out on the table: Android 4.1 (Jelly Bean), Google's answer to Siri ("Google Now"), even a ship date on the long-awaited "beta" version of Google's Project Glass glasses. Most interestingly, Google (though also most expected, given leaks early this week) released its Nexus 7 -- their take on a mid-sized tablet. The hardware is impressive enough (front-facing camera, WiFi, Bluetooth, NFC connectivity, Nvidia Tegra processor and GPU), and the device will be shipped with the latest Android OS... all for $199.
