Google may face impending antitrust lawsuit

The European Commission said Monday that Google is currently "abusing" its search market dominance to promote its own services. Google provides more links to its own products than it does its competitors, and the Commission has given Google a three week ultimatum to change four particular aspects of their search function to avoid being slapped with an antitrust lawsuit. The European Commission has been in close talks with their American counterparts at the Federal Trade Commission, and a lawsuit in Europe is likely to trigger similar action on Google's home soil.
