Greenspoon Marder Acquires Handal & Associates
Anton N. Handal, Gabriel Hedrick and Lauren Kane have joined the Intellectual Property practice group of Greenspoon Marder, expanding the law firm’s complex litigation capabilities.
The three, who were part of Handal & Associates law firm, will work out of Greenspoon Marder’s San Diego office following the acquisition.
Patexia facilitated the introduction and eventual connection between Handal & Associates and Greenspoon Marder.

Greenspoon Marder launched its Intellectual Property practice in October 2016. In terms of Intellectual Property, Greenspoon Marder works both domestically and internationally with patent and trademark strategies, registrations, portfolio management, licensing and litigation.
The firm provides IP service for its California clients in areas such as cannabis, technology, media and entertainment. Greenspoon Marder’s clients include multi-national corporations, mid-sized businesses, as well as individual investors and entrepreneurs.

Anton Handal
Anton Handal is an experienced trial lawyer with litigation experience in many jurisdictions, including Federal, State, and Administrative courts. He recently litigated a successful completion of an International Trade Commission Section 337 action. He is a former CEO of a start-up technology company. As CEO, he secured patents, negotiated contracts and raised capital.
Gabriel Hedrick
Gabriel Hedrick’s background is in complex corporate transactional matters, including IP litigation. He has represented companies in legal disputes involving Intellectual Property litigation and licensing in Federal court and before the International Trade Commission.
Lauren Kane
Lauren Kane’s practice has encompassed representing litigants in Intellectual Property disputes. She also has represented plaintiffs and defendants in civil business litigation, including lawsuits regarding partnerships, joint ventures, fiduciary relationships and business torts.
