IMAX Corporation Sued GDC Technology for Theft of Trade Secrets

Canadian movie tech company IMAX has brought up multiple lawsuits of theft of trade secrets against Gary Tsui and related companies in Canada, China, and United States. Among them, the case of IMAX vs GDC was filed in Los Angeles County Superior Court. Although IMAX has won lawsuits in Ontario and Beijing, and is also likely to win in LA. However, IMAX might be more likely to reach a deal with GDC since GDC is connected with the state owned enterprise China Film Group Corporation, which is the largest and de facto only foreign movie importer in China’s current movie market with splendidly booming box office.
