IPLAN chooses Cisco technology for its new data center

IPLAN, a company involved in telecommunications and cloud computing services for small and medium-sized businesses in Argentina, has chosen Cisco® technology to complete the  infrastructure of its fifth data center, scheduled to be launched in June 2012 in the Technological District of Parque Patricios. IPLAN chose the Cisco Unified Computing System™ (Cisco UCS™) and Cisco Nexus® components for its platform for virtual servers, dedicated servers and IT ecosystems. The company aims to offer widely varied, flexible and scalable services to companies. The new data center facilities will be the only facilities in Buenos Aires City to exceed the international Tier 3 project characteristics, with an IT room of 1,200 square meters, a power capacity of 4 megawatts, efficient technologies of high-density racks and cooling as well security and processing data systems.
