Looking for a licensing analyst in engineering

The Ohio State University (OSU) Technology Commercialization Office (TCO) commercializes academic discoveries and inventions out of OSU’s nearly $1B research enterprise; TCO is seeking a Licensing Analyst that will be primarily responsible for innovations developed in the Engineering, Physical Sciences and Software/Copyright portfolios at OSU. Under the supervision of the Director of Licensing the Licensing Analyst will: assist the Engineering and Physical Science Licensing Team in reviewing and analyzing invention disclosures for patentability, marketability, technical merit and commercial potential; make recommendations for technology investment decisions for software and engineering; analyze patents for monetization; develop and implement invention marketing plans and develop marketing material (e.g. non-confidential summaries) for business development activities; conduct patent searches to understand prior art and potential “white space” landscape; identify potential licensees for OSU technologies; and perform other duties as assigned by the Director of Licensing.
