More IV Patents Invalid Under Alice

Earlier this week, a Federal Circuit court affirmed that three patents asserted against Capital One by Intellectual Ventures are invalid for lacking eligible subject matter. In light of Alice Corp, the court found no inventive step in any of the claims, rather it saw a set of instructions for applying an abstract idea.
