RIM infringement -- the worst possible time

RIM appears to get more bad news every week -- I sometimes wonder if the number of grey hairs on Thorsten Heins' head could be monitored as an indicator of RIM's continued decline. In my opinion, the scariest part about this decision is that the awarded royalty is $8 for every Blackberry connected to RIM's enterprise server software -- for just this one patent. Even if a small fraction of the tech patents currently in litigation produced injunctions like this one, the bottom line could be mobile devices that are less innovative and a lot more expensive.
