USDA Announces New Fudnding for Telecom Infrastructure Improvements

Agriculture Secretary Tom Vilsack announced earlier today that the USDA will provide $109.5M in grants and loans aimed at making broadband and other advanced communications infrastructure improvements in rural areas. The USDA is providing the assistance through the Community Connect Grant program, the Public Television Digital Transition Grant program, and the Telecommunications Infrastructure Loan Program.
