ViaSat Damages Award Reversed

The $283M in damages awarded in April to ViaSat by a jury that found Space Systems/Loral infringed upon their patents has been reversed. US District Court judge Marilyn Huff rejected the award but let the original verdict stand, and has stated that a new trial would be limited to determining the amount of damages that Loral should pay ViaSat.
