VIDEO - amplifying subtle changes in video

MIT researchers have devised simple software which amplifies subtle time-dependent changes in videos. The method involves decomposing each frame of the video and filtering changes for a particular frequency. The result is that the team can take simple videos where there is no apparent motion, and amplify movements and color changes as small as the breathing of a small child or the color change in a person's face due to the beating of their heart.
