VIDEO - Giraffe wins "Science as Art" competition

A UCR Shaahin Amini student submitted a microscopic giraffe likeness to a recent Materials Research Society "Science as Art" competition. Small-scale fabrication has been producing unique shapes on tiny scales for more than a decade, but I think this is the first time I've seen an animal! The tiny likeness of world's tallest mammal is made of nickel, aluminum and carbon.
