Trademark Intelligence 2021

Publication date: Jun 17, 2021

Release Date: June 17, 2021

In our First Annual Trademark Intelligence Report, we review the trademarks filed between January 1, 2016, through December 31, 2020. This covers approximately:

  • 2,618,466 trademark applications
  • 191,904 U.S. and foreign trademark applicants
  • 27,824 trademark firms
  • 33,234 trademark attorneys

Similar to our other IP Insight Reports, our evaluation is aimed at ranking all stakeholders by activity and performance. This includes trademark attorneys, law firms, and their clients.

The report will also include:

  • A comprehensive cost analysis (trademark legal fees) based on a survey we conduct.
  • The estimated trademark attorney's fees collected by each of the top 1000 attorneys or law firms
  • The estimated trademark spending by each of the top 1000 companies
  • The top 3 clients for the top 1000 most active law firms and attorneys.
  • The top 3 trademark firms for each of the top 1000 most active companies.

The report will include a dedicated section, covering our survey results that provide information about trademark cost, business development approaches and the methodology for performance rankings.

As per our tradition, we will provide a Press Kit and the firms will be able to have a press release or publish the digital badges (in case they are ranked in the report) on their sites.

In addition, due to popular demand, we will provide an Excel file covering the first 1000 law firms and attorneys, with all their stats and scores for the last five years, including their top 3 clients.

Note: If you are interested in all our Intelligence Reports including Trademark Prosecution, consider Patexia Concierge Program which also provides your organization with online access to various stats related to all IP firms and attorneys including all USPTO examiners.
