Platform Computing acquired by IBM

Platform Computing, a company focused on technical and distributed computing management software, will be integrated into IBM Systems and Technology Group following its acquisition by IBM. Platform Computing technology will advance IBM's offerings in cluster, grid and cloud management software used for intensive computing and data applications involved in analytics, computer modeling and simulations. The increasing need for high-performance technical computing has created a demand that IBM hopes to fulfill with Platform Computing's strong offerings in application performance and infrastructure flexibility. Over 2,000 clients, 23 of which are in the top 30 of the largest global enterprises, utilize Platform Computing solutions.
