VIDEO: Educational innovation at the University of Wisconsin-Madison

In this video, University of Wisconsin-Madison Interim Chancellor David Ward discusses the university’s Educational Innovation program, which aims to spark innovative approaches to education and research, and set the university on the path to greater self-sufficiency. Ward discusses not only the curricular changes necessary for the university to thrive in today’s environment of limited resources, but also the importance of cross-departmental research programs, and dealing with patents, licensing and contracts with the private sector in a thoughtful way that benefits all parties -- crucial discussions happening all over academia.
