Weil Blasts Spangenberg's NPE After Patent Alliance Sours

A patent privateering deal between Medtronic Inc. and a prominent non-practicing entity has ended in a $500,000 dispute over litigation expenses.
The medical device giant is accusing IP Navigation Group LLC of reneging on a reimbursement deal after they teamed up on a patent infringement suit against Medtronic competitor Stryker Corp. The suit was settled in April.
